Nichols Hills is a place of enduring charm with homes built as early as 1939 and is currently enjoying a surge of new construction on existing home sites. You can find any architectural style including Tudor Revival, French, Colonial, Cape Cod, Spanish, Italian, Ranch and Contemporary. Home prices range from $300K to over $3 million and are in walking or biking distance to many local shops and restaurants.
The feature I love most about Nichols Hills are the parks. Smaller individual parks, many with playgrounds and gazebos, abound. Every year a little piece of Americana happens in Kite Park. It is host to the annual 4th of July parade and celebration complete with the neighborhood volunteer band. The grandfather of all the parks is the Grand Boulevard Park, lined with sidewalks it winds its way through most of Nichols Hills, and is actively enjoyed by all people. The two big events that occur there are the Pooch Parade, where everyone gets to show off their four legged friends, and the Redbud Classic, a signature event in Oklahoma City. Each April the Redbud Classic brings out neighbors and people from all over the city for a 10K and a fun walk/run. The Redbud is named after the hundreds of redbud trees that dot the parks and homes in Nichols Hills.
